• Age & eligibility

  You must be 18 or older to create an account — or use BetterBite with the knowledge and consent of a parent/guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf. Engagement features (streaks, activity history) are designed for adult users.

• Data can be imperfect

  Product data comes from transcription of the physical product label plus AI research — it can be outdated or wrong, and products get reformulated. The service is provided "as is", without warranty. If you spot an error, use Report Data Inaccuracy; brands can use the correction procedure in the Terms.

• AI-generated content

  Analyses, summaries, and report narratives are AI-synthesized with guardrails, but AI can make mistakes or misinterpret research. Verify important claims against primary sources. BetterBite is not liable for decisions based solely on AI content.

• Grades are opinions on published data

  Health grades and scores are our methodology's fair-comment assessment of label and research data — not statements that any brand's product is unsafe, and not an endorsement or disparagement of any brand.

• Tracking, storage & personalization

  We track your in-app activity (products viewed, searches, scans — opt-out available) and store your health profile, meal logs, and usage history so BetterBite can personalize your reports, absorption estimates, and allergen notices. This is an informational nutrition companion, not a medical service.

• Your data & privacy (DPDP)

  Your health profile (allergens, conditions) is sensitive data you volunteer to personalize results. You can export all your data or delete your account (with everything in it) anytime from your dashboard. Activity analytics have an opt-out; streak day-history is kept while your account exists because the streak feature needs it.

• Buy links & commissions

  "Where to Buy" links may earn BetterBite a commission. This never affects grades, scores, or which alternatives are shown. Prices and availability are set by each platform.

• Liability & disputes

  BetterBite's liability is capped as set out in the Terms. Disputes are governed by Indian law with arbitration in New Delhi. A Grievance Officer is available per the IT Rules 2021 and DPDP Act.
